Four free Claude Skills for marketers.

Download a folder, drag it into Claude Desktop or Claude Code, done. Claude will know how to extract a brand voice, teardown a competitor landscape, write a SERP-informed brief, or narrate a messy performance dataset honestly.

Same four prompts you can already use for free in the Marketing Prompt Hub, packaged as installable Skills so they're available wherever you talk to Claude.

voice-tone-extractor

Brand voice extractor

Derive a reusable voice and tone guide from your existing brand writing. Three voice attributes (with opposites), sentence rhythm patterns, vocabulary lists, six on-brand vs. off-brand pairs, and a one-paragraph elevator voice. The output is itself a system prompt you paste into a Claude Project so every future prompt inherits your voice.

For: anyone running AI content production at scale
competitive-landscape-teardown

Competitive teardown

Structured analysis of 3-7 competitors across positioning, pricing, ICP, product strengths, and exploitable weaknesses. Outputs a comparison matrix, a 150-word executive summary identifying defensible white space, and three sharp testable positioning hypotheses with explicit kill criteria.

For: brand strategy, market entry, pricing work, board prep
serp-informed-brief

SERP-informed brief writer

Turn a target query plus the current top-10 results into a brief that beats them on something specific (not on length). Outputs intent analysis, consensus structure with X/N counts, real content gaps no one covers, expertise signals required, and a "what NOT to write" section.

For: SEO + content teams, refresh decisions, brief reviews
performance-readout

Performance readout narrator

Turn a messy performance dataset into a clear, honest readout. No-hedging headline, three findings ranked by decision-relevance with naive vs. honest reads, two follow-up questions the data can't answer, one recommendation per finding. Refuses to declare trends from less than two data points.

For: weekly standups, monthly board updates, post-campaign retros

How to install

Pick whichever path matches how you talk to Claude.

Claude Desktop / claude.ai (easiest)

  1. Download a zip from above. Double-click to unzip.
  2. Drag the unzipped folder (e.g. voice-tone-extractor/) directly into the Claude Desktop window.
  3. Claude reads the SKILL.md inside and the skill is available immediately.

Claude Code (project-scoped, available only inside one project)

  1. Download and unzip.
  2. From your project root in Finder: create a folder called .claude, then a folder called skills inside it.
  3. Drop the unzipped skill folders into .claude/skills/.
  4. Open the project in Claude Code: the skills load automatically.

Claude Code (personal, available across all projects)

  1. Download and unzip.
  2. Open Finder, press ⌘⇧G, type ~/.claude/skills, press Enter. Create the folder if it doesn't exist.
  3. Drop the unzipped skill folders into that location.
  4. Now any Claude Code session can use them.

How to invoke once installed

Each skill loads automatically when Claude detects a relevant task. Or invoke explicitly: "use the voice-tone-extractor skill on these blog posts" · "run competitive-landscape-teardown against these competitor URLs" · "use serp-informed-brief, query is X, top results below" · "use performance-readout on this CSV."

Want to build your own Skill from scratch?

The 4 above are pre-built. If you want to ship your own Skill in 20 minutes, the build walkthrough covers the YAML frontmatter, the SKILL.md instructions section, and the worked example for a brand voice Skill. Same template used to build these four.

If you are not sure when a Skill is the right container (vs a Project, vs a plain prompt), the decision tree post covers exactly that.
